“Sometimes, whether we like it or not, life will conspire to throw us a curve-negative circumstances that can so readily impact us while going about our business during the ordinary course of life. That said, it would appear, we are all at the mercy of the forces.— They were a happily married couple, living a life of connubial bliss on a sprawling farm in the country. The husband had inherited the holdings after his father passed away. The wife also inherited, making them doubly secure. A daughter was born shortly after the marriage, friends, and relatives in the local community celebrated the joyous event. Nothing of a disquieting nature appeared anywhere near the horizon. However, as is generally acknowledged in the unpredictable course of life, no one who ventures down that highway seems immune from the vagaries of its vicissitudes. The ratio of probabilities would not preclude the avoidance of such hard-nosed facts. So as they journeyed on, it seemed only reasonable to say, Herbert and Lela Hedram would eventually encounter a curve in the road. But for now, their uneventful lives would flow as smoothly as the nearby Yahllas River, winding it way in liquid freedom through the village of Hagley Gap where they both were born.”
