Art Basel is the world-renowned art fair that takes place annually in the town of Basel, Switzerland. The fair features projects from established and historical artists, curated by galleries representing a wide range of cultures and countries from around the globe. The Artbox Gallery in Switzerland approached Weston for participation in Art Basel 1.0 after seeing his artworks featured in the International Contemporary Masters Art Book, Volume IV, published by Worldwide Art Books, Despina Tunberg, curator.
